Of the other three six letter states – Alaska and Hawaii both lie outside the continental United States, while both are west of the Mississippi River they do not border any other states. Kansas, the other six letter state, likewise lies west of the Mississippi River but while it sits within the continental United States, it does not border any other six letter states.
