Kevin Sinfield began his Extra Mile Challenge on November 22, 2021. The goal was to run the 101 miles from Leicester Tigers’ stadium to Leeds Rhinos’ stadium in support of Rob Burrow, a friend and former teammate, and other people with motor neurone disease.
In 24 hours without sleep, he completed it. Rob and his family were present to greet him as throngs of friends and admirers lined the streets to show their support.
Kevin wanted to raise $100,000, which will be split equally between the Leeds Rob Burrow Center for Motor Neurone Disease Appeal and the MND Association. The sum was over $2 million when this programme was being produced.
