Utterly distorted history: the ‘Palestinian strong man was in fact a beduin from Egypt who demanded protection money from Jews and Chrstinas. The land on which his family lived was Jewish-owned. The fact that the Arabs rejected the Partition plan for Palestine and attacked the new state of Israel was barely mentioned. the real victims here are not the Arabs of Palestinie (over a million live in Israel today) but the Jewish communities of the Arab world, which were ‘ethnically cleansed’. Yet these were given just one sentence. A complete travesty by the BBC.
