Shakespeare and his actors stage As You Like It to show the Globe’s new owner Archibald Frost that plays are enjoyable when he threatens to demolish the theatre to construct a skyscraper. Orlando and Oliver are two brothers who appear in the opening of the tale. Oliver won’t give Orlando any of their father’s money. Shakespeare introduces the antagonist Duke Frederick and the amiable Duke Senior, two additional quarrelling brothers.
