Episode Summary
Millions of lambs are giving birth all throughout the UK, which is an unmistakable indication that spring has arrived. Charlotte Smith travels to the Outer Hebrides to meet Archie, a 17-year-old farmer who already owns and operates a 600-acre farm on the island of North Uist.
Sammi Kinghorn, a paralympic athlete, is back at her Scottish Borders home farm lambing. Her love of farming and animals developed there as she grew up, but it was also the scene of the accident that left her crippled. Despite this, she has never let it stop her from assisting with lambing.
Olivia Nares, a veterinary student, is beginning her first lambing season in East Sussex, living out a longstanding passion. The next great wine in the UK may be made with the help of wool fleeces, according to research conducted in north Wales.
