Where Is Diana Duve? Season 36 Episode 26 Episode Summary
In 2014, 26-year-old Diana Duve vanished without a trace in Vero Beach, Florida. She was last seen leaving a bar with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Michael Jones. Witnesses reported that the couple seemed to be having a good time, but at one point, Duve appeared upset. She never returned home that night, and her mother knew something was wrong when her daughter didn’t call her – something she did every day.
After investigators looked into Jones, they discovered that he was well-educated and had gone to law school. He was also a wealth manager at PNC bank, entrusted with handling millions of dollars. However, they also found out that Jones told outlandish lies, including claiming that he was adopted by Ronald Reagan’s son.
Tragically, Duve’s body was later found in the trunk of her car parked in a shopping center parking lot in Melbourne, Florida. Jones was charged and tried for her murder.
The story of Diana Duve’s disappearance and murder is the focus of a recent episode of the CBS television show, 48 HOURS. In “Where Is Diana Duve?” contributor Michelle Miller interviews Duve’s mother, Lena Andrews, investigators, and others to shed light on what happened that tragic night.
