“The Bear” Serves Up Season 2: FX’s Hit Comedy Series Premieres June 22nd
FX’s award-winning comedy series, The Bear, is back with its highly-anticipated second season, set to premiere on Thursday, June 22, exclusively on Hulu. All 10 episodes will be available at the time of premiere. Fans in Latin America can watch the show on Star+, while those in other territories can catch it on Disney+, though the release date is yet to be announced.
The Bear Season 2 will follow the journey of three characters – Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, Sydney Adamu, and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich – as they aim to elevate their sandwich shop to the next level. As they transform the joint, they also embark on their own transformational journeys, confronting their past and figuring out who they want to become.
Running a restaurant isn’t easy, and opening a new one is even harder. The team faces a barrage of bureaucratic hurdles and contractor-related issues, while also having to navigate the creative agony of menu planning. The transition brings a newfound focus on hospitality, as the entire staff comes together, pushing their abilities and relationships to the limit and learning what it means to be in service to diners and each other.
The Bear Season 2 features an ensemble cast that includes Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Edwin Lee Gibson, Oliver Platt, and newcomer Molly Gordon.
The critically acclaimed series won several awards in its first season, including being named an AFI TV Program of the Year, and receiving WGA, PGA, Film Independent Spirit, American Cinema Editors, and ACE Eddie Awards. Jeremy Allen White also won the comedy acting award from the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and Critics Choice Awards.
The Bear was created by Christopher Storer, who also serves as executive producer alongside Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai, Josh Senior, and Matty Matheson. Tyson Bidner is the series producer, and FX Productions produces the show.
With its unique blend of comedy and heart, The Bear Season 2 promises to be a must-watch for fans of the series and newcomers alike.
