In the second-to-last episode of the series, the final four contestants compete against each other for the opportunity to take on one of the most iconic challenges of the show – Chef’s Table.

Only one task stands between them and a spot in the final three: they must each put their own spin on a classic dish. This is their last opportunity to showcase everything they have learned, unleash their creativity, and convince judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace that they deserve a place in the final. It’s a high-pressure cook-off that will mark the end of the journey for one of the four finalists.

As the remaining three contestants embark on an exciting adventure, they head to central London for a unique opportunity to work at Core, a renowned restaurant unlike any other. Core, led by acclaimed chef Clare Smyth MBE, holds three Michelin stars and is widely celebrated. Clare gained valuable experience working alongside culinary pioneers Gordon Ramsay and Alain Ducasse before opening Core in 2017. In just three years, she earned the highest culinary recognition by delivering exceptional British gastronomy. Her approach involves elevating humble ingredients rooted in nostalgia, infusing her dishes with a distinctive personal touch, and showcasing remarkable flair and skill.

The three finalists find themselves facing an unprecedented challenge as they each tackle one of Clare’s most breathtaking creations. They must prepare a special lunch for a select group of esteemed chefs who are leaders in their respective fields. Among the notable guests are Sat Bains, Tom Kitchin, Jonny Lake, and Nieves Barragán Mohacho.

Will our three amateur cooks maintain their composure and reach the prestigious three-Michelin-star standard, or will the immense pressure to deliver prove too overwhelming for them?
