Early 1760s, West Yorkshire. David Hartley is coming home to his family’s isolated moortop home after spending the previous seven years in Birmingham. He obtains assistance from six mythological stag-men who inform him that his task on earth isn’t yet complete when he is gravely wounded and hauling a mystery bag of tools.
