former executive Before the epidemic, Elaine had never used online banking, but when calls to her bank’s phone lines left her on hold for hours, she thought she’d give it a shot. She made just one effort before being contacted by con artists who stole £30,000 from her. Joan claims she is not a silver surfer and almost ever uses the internet, yet she was defrauded when her card was used on Deliveroo. She wants to know how this could have happened, and so does her family.
