Final Jeopardy Answer

The Final Jeopardy Answer is: Rudyard Kipling

Final Jeopardy Explanation

In 1894, Rudyard Kipling published “The Jungle Book,” a collection of stories that feature animal characters such as a wolf, a panther, and a snake. These characters are named Akela (the wolf), Bagheera (the panther), and Nagaina (the snake). The new spider species named after these characters were discovered and classified in 1896.

Rudyard Kipling’s contribution to literature was recognized in 1907 when he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, making him the first English-language writer to receive the prize and its youngest recipient to date.
