In the premiere episode viewers will be immersed in a thrilling competition where four professional build/design teams go head-to-head to transform a rundown lakeside resort into a stunning modern-day destination.
Join real estate expert and contractor Scott McGillivray, known for “Vacation House Rules,” as he recruits friendly rival and home renovation expert Bryan Baeumler from “Renovation Island.” Together, they will oversee the renovation of Scott’s newly purchased lakeside resort in this one-of-a-kind vacation rental renovation competition.
In this seven-episode series, Scott and Bryan will enlist the expertise of four talented build/design teams to revamp the tired property before peak season. The competing duos include husband and wife Troy and Rotem from Toronto, Ontario; entrepreneurs Arnold and April from Chicago, Illinois; business partners Sean and Jena from Toronto, Ontario; and life and work partners Kyle and Savannah from Phoenix, Arizona.
With a tight deadline of seven weeks and a budget of $100,000, each team will transform four identical cabins into luxurious waterfront escapes, infusing their own personal style into the designs. The revamped spaces will be evaluated by Scott, Bryan, and rotating guest judges based on quality, creativity, and functionality.
In the premiere episode, the teams will showcase their skills in the primary bedrooms, main floor bathrooms, and front entryways. Scott and Bryan, armed with their expertise and sharp observations, will guide the duos through the competition as they tackle the remodeling of kitchens, living and dining rooms, lofts, and exteriors.
