Featuring contributions from Kahlo's biographer Martha Zamora, Kahlo's great-niece Cristina Kahlo, as well as various art historians and curators, `Becoming Frida Kahlo' tells the often-turbulent story of the Mexican painter. The series explores the major events of Kahlo's life, both personal and political, from her health problems to her complicated relationship with artist Diego Rivera, and her experiences in the United States and Europe. Throughout her life Kahlo used her artwork as way to process her emotions, culminating in some of the most highly esteemed paintings of the twentieth century.
