In this episode, host JJ Chalmers heads to Wallyford recycling centre in East Lothian, embarking on a mission to uncover hidden treasures among discarded items.
The challenge is clear: JJ aims to find three items that can be given a new lease on life and then sold for a profit. It’s all about taking items that might have been considered junk and transforming them into valuable pieces.
Joining the creative journey is blacksmith Kev Paxton, who takes on the task of finding a creative and innovative use for a stack of unwanted steel sheets. Designer Rosanna Gethin also steps up to the plate as she attempts to breathe new life into an old golf bag and a seemingly ordinary blanket.
But perhaps the most ambitious undertaking falls on JJ’s shoulders, as he tackles the transformation of a large set of drawers. The big question is whether any of these revamped items will find buyers willing to pay for their newfound charm and purpose.
