In this installment, celebrity chef Robert Irvine takes his skills and expertise to Greg’s BBQ in Belen, New Mexico.
Greg’s BBQ is not just any restaurant; it’s a family business run by an ex-Marine who has been facing some significant health challenges. While he’s passionate about his restaurant, his health conditions have made it difficult for him to manage it effectively. Complicating matters, he can’t resist the urge to micromanage his son’s involvement in the business.
Robert Irvine arrives at Greg’s BBQ with a mission not only to save the restaurant but also to help the owner improve his own well-being. It’s a delicate balance between teaching the owner to trust his son’s capabilities and encouraging him to prioritize his health, which is currently at risk.

Chef Robert Irvine tries to turn around restaurants across America that are facing an impending demise if things don't improve. With a $10,000 budget and two days to work, Irvine uses his creativity and resourcefulness to turn the eatery's fortunes around. On day one, he assesses the business by observing the staff and kitchen during a full service. He then updates the menu and makes aesthetic changes to the restaurant in preparation for the grand reopening the following day. Irvine goes out into the community to get a crowd into the building to check out the improvements on the second day of the project. |
