The case revolves around the disappearance of 12-year-old Laura Smither from Friendswood, Texas, in 1997. What remained unknown at the time of her vanishing was that Laura had fallen prey to a serial killer. This malevolent individual, William Reece, would go on to murder three other young women in the same year before eventually being identified through DNA evidence.
