In this episode, judges Gregg, Monica, and Marcus will put four new chefs to the test, pushing them to endure the intense pressure of the MasterChef Kitchen.
The episode kicks off with the formidable Skills Test, with Marcus taking the lead. The first two chefs have a mere 20 minutes to prepare and cook lamb neck with baba ganoush, a pomegranate vinaigrette, and toast. They must not only execute faultless meat cookery but also infuse their dishes with bold Middle Eastern flavors that leave a lasting impression.
Following this demanding challenge, Monica presents her own test to the remaining two chefs. They must tackle a classic – apple tarte tatin with a calvados crème anglaise. This challenge will require them to demonstrate their mastery of classic French pastry techniques, leaving no room for mistakes.
After the Skills Test, all four professionals have the opportunity to showcase their culinary prowess in the Signature Menu round. It’s their chance to prove they have what it takes to compete at the highest level and leave their mark on the competition.
