The first group of three chefs will embark on a journey filled with high-stakes challenges that demand unwavering focus and determination. They will need to take calculated risks, as the rewards for the best performers are substantial, propelling them closer to the coveted finals week.
The episode begins with an extraordinary challenge as the chefs head to central London. There, they will take charge of a lunch service like no other, working in the kitchen of the prestigious restaurant Ikoyi, recently recognized as one of the world’s top 50 restaurants. The restaurant’s founder and chef, Jeremy Chan, a culinary luminary with two Michelin stars to his name, sets exceptionally high standards. Each contender must create a dish from his impressive 18-course tasting menu, a task that will require exceptional culinary prowess and creativity.
Returning to the MasterChef kitchen, the chefs face a daunting but straightforward task: they must craft two outstanding dishes – one main course and one dessert – in a mere one hour and 45 minutes. These dishes must not only meet but exceed all expectations, leaving judges Marcus and Monica with no choice but to advance the chefs to the finals.
