For the first time, Michael Herman opens up about the horrifying night when he was woken up by bloodcurdling screams and realized his friend was under attack. Herman recalls rushing to help, unable to find his phone, and running next door to get assistance. Despite his efforts, Harwick was found gravely injured under her third-story balcony and was later declared dead at the hospital.
As investigators pieced together the case, they discovered signs of a violent struggle inside the house, including Harwick’s broken necklace and a syringe with a mysterious substance.
