In February 2019, Michael Cochran suddenly died, and his wife, Natalie, initially claimed his death was from natural causes. Investigators uncovered evidence that pointed to a deliberate poisoning, as Michael’s body was found to have high levels of nonprescribed insulin. After an exhumation and advanced forensic testing, the cause of death was confirmed as homicide.

Natalie Cochran, who had been operating a Ponzi scheme between 2017 and 2019, was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
