Get ready for a gripping new episode of 48 HOURS, as contributor Michelle Miller investigates the case of Diana Duve, a young woman who disappeared one night in 2014 after leaving a bar with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Michael Jones. Witnesses reported that the couple seemed to be having a good time, but Duve appeared upset at one point. She never returned home, and her mother immediately knew that something was wrong when her daughter didn’t call her, as she did every day.
As investigators delved into the case, they discovered that Jones was well-educated and had a successful career as a wealth manager at PNC bank, handling millions of dollars. But they also uncovered a pattern of outlandish lies, including one claim that he was adopted by Ronald Reagan’s son. The investigation took a dark turn when Duve’s body was found in the trunk of her car parked in a shopping center in Melbourne, Florida. Jones was charged and tried for her murder.
