Fake Electors

Following President Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election, Republicans in seven states, including Wisconsin, took unprecedented action by casting fake electoral votes for Donald Trump. Correspondent Anderson Cooper investigates Wisconsin’s fake presidential electors and interviews Andrew Hitt, an attorney and former GOP state chair, who claims he and his fellow fake electors were deceived into signing the documents. Special counsel Jack Smith alleges the fake votes were part of a larger plan orchestrated by Donald Trump and his conspirators to overturn the election. Produced by Sarah Koch.

A Prisoner of Iran

Margaret Brennan conducts the first interview with one of the five American prisoners freed from Iran last fall. Emad Shargi’s harrowing story sheds light on the challenges of bringing citizens home, as more than 120 hostages, including five Americans, remain unaccounted for in Gaza. Produced by Andy Court.

Rich Paul

Bill Whitaker profiles mega sports agent Rich Paul as he releases his new memoir. The founder and CEO of Klutch Sports Group represents NBA sensations like LeBron James and Draymond Green and negotiated almost $900 million in deals last summer alone. Whitaker traces Paul’s remarkable journey from the east side of Cleveland to his current glittering life and scores an invite to the Klutch All-Star Game party, one of the hottest tickets in the NBA.
