Final Jeopardy Answer

The Final Jeopardy Answer is: Jack Daniel’s

Final Jeopardy Explanation

Lynchburg in Tennessee’s Moore County is home to the Jack Daniel’s Distillery, which produces Tennessee whiskey.

However, Moore County is a dry county, which means that it is forbidden to sell alcohol over the counter. While alcohol can be made and consumed there, it cannot be purchased.

State prohibition laws were passed in Moore County at the beginning of the 20th century and are still in force even though federal prohibition ended in 1933 when the Eighteenth Amendment was repealed.

By default, every county in Tennessee is dry, but any county can become “wet” by passing a “local option” referendum at the county level. Such a referendum has not been approved in Moore County.
