Healing and Hope
In the wake of devastating earthquakes that struck the region of war-torn north-west Syria in February, Scott Pelley visits the front lines to meet with a U.S. medical organisation and recruits volunteers for the White Helmets, who braved the dangers. Pelley interviews first responders, survivors, and healthcare professionals about the earthquakes and the ongoing assaults on hospitals that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and Russian President Vladimir Putin have instigated. Producer Nicole Young is involved.
Who Is Ray Epps
Right-wing media consumers know Ray Epps as the person who started the attack on President Trump on January 6. Members of Congress have embraced the complicated hypothesis that Epps worked as a covert spy for the “deep state,” which is what it alleges. Epps and his wife Robyn were forced to sell their ranch in Arizona and flee after receiving death threats and other abuse. What about Ray Epps? In preparation for their initial television interview, Bill Whitaker spent several days with the Epps. Producer Graham Messick is involved.
Nicolas Cage
The actor Nicolas Cage opens his unique Las Vegas home to 60 Minutes so that they can meet Huginn, an African crow, and learn about his more than 40 years of filmmaking, including his most recent appearance as Count Dracula in “Renfield.” Cage discusses his love of movies, his diverse body of work as an inspiration, and the ups and downs along the path with Sharyn Alfonsi. The director is Michael Karzis.
