Fantasy Island Series Information
Taking place at a luxury resort in a tropical location, fantasies requested by guests are fulfilled, although they rarely turn out as expected. A contemporary adaptation of the 1977-1984 series, the program acts as a sequel in that it maintains a continuity; host Elena Roarke is a descendant of Mr. Roarke from the original program. Guest stars appear in the emotional, provocative episodes as people who arrive with dreams and desires and depart enlightened and transformed through the magical realism of Fantasy Island.
