What Happened to Tricia Todd?

Tricia Todd, a mother from Hobe Sound, Florida, was tragically murdered by her ex-husband, Steven Williams, in April 2016. Williams, who had a history of abuse towards Tricia and a desire to eliminate her from his life, meticulously planned her death. On the fateful day, he spent time with Tricia and their daughter, feigning normalcy before executing his sinister plan. When Tricia arrived to collect their daughter, Williams attacked her, first attempting to strangle her and then resorting to beating her with a club until she was unconscious. He then proceeded to choke her to death.

After committing the murder, Williams went to great lengths to conceal his crime. He dismembered Tricia’s body with a chainsaw and dissolved the remains in acid, displaying a disturbing level of premeditation and cruelty. Despite his attempts to cover his tracks, law enforcement officials uncovered evidence linking him to the crime, including surveillance footage and testimonies. Eventually, Williams confessed to the murder, providing chilling details of his actions.

The revelation of Tricia’s fate shocked her family and the community, who mourned her loss and sought justice for her untimely death. Williams was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 35 years in prison as part of a plea deal. Tricia’s loved ones expressed both grief for her loss and hopes for Williams’ rehabilitation, emphasizing the lasting impact of her tragic and senseless death.
