“Police interrogation techniques”? Why not call it “Gestapo 101”. After grilling and badgering this bewildered innocent young adult — with a grade school mentality as was pointed out — for SEVERAL HOURS, without any legal counsel, they coerced her to change the description of her accounts of the day in question countless times. This wasn’t justice — it was a case of “We’ve finally got ourselves a scapegoat. Now let’s do what we have to in order to convict her.” What a horrible example of our legal system. I plan to write a letter to Gov. Pritzker, though I doubt my letter, or even if there are hundreds of letters sent to his office, will do any good. He’s a politician, and will make a decision on what benefits HIM. And he’s not about to make a decision that will have any negative consequences within the local Lake County law enforcement and judicial departments. As I said, so much for “justice”.
