The Final Jeopardy Answer is: France
Final Jeopardy Explanation
France launched its first satellite, named Astérix, in 1965. This launch made France the third country to independently send a satellite into space, following the Soviet Union and the United States. Astérix, also known as A-1, was launched on November 26, 1965, aboard a Diamant A rocket from the Hammaguir test range in Algeria, which was then a French territory. This milestone marked a significant achievement in the French space program, showcasing the country’s growing technological and aerospace capabilities during the Cold War era.
