Final Jeopardy Answer

The Final Jeopardy Answer is: Do They Know It’s Christmas?

Final Jeopardy Explanation

“Candle in the Wind 1997” by Elton John knocked “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” by Band Aid from the top spot as the U.K.’s all-time best-selling song. Elton John’s re-written 1997 version of “Candle in the Wind,” originally released in 1973, was adapted as a tribute to Princess Diana following her death. The new lyrics and its timing led to an overwhelming sales response, making it not only the fastest-selling single in UK history but also the best-selling single in UK chart history, surpassing “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” which was released in 1984 to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia.
